We are excited to welcome an individual who is seeking to develop a career in the early childhood sector through a Certificate III traineeship in Early Childhood Education and Care. We are seeking someone with a desire to develop strong relationships with children and families, and work collaboratively with other educators in a mixed-aged boutique children's centre.
At The Rumpus Room Marks Point, we aim to support our trainees in developing the skills to not only become successful as a Certificate III Educator, but to thrive in a career in the early childhood community.
Here's a bit about a traineeship position:
- This is an opportunity to complete a nationally recognised early childhood qualification (Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care) while being employed on a full-time basis.
- The position will be full time, Monday to Friday and is a contracted position for 18 months from the start of the traineeship. Our opening hours are 7.30am - 5.30pm, 50 weeks of the year (excludes our 2 week Christmas closure period), therefore the successful applicant would be expected to work on a rotating roster between these hours.
- At The Rumpus Room Marks Point you will have the opportunity to work in a lovely local community, in a boutique 32 place early education service.
- As a full-time employee of The Rumpus Room, you will acrue an RDO every four weeks (Rostered Day Off) to support positive work/life balance!
-You will have access to support from a range of incredibly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive staff members; study time at work; and visits from your trainer through our traineeship organisation.
- At the commencement of the traineeship, you will graduate with a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
This role will commence in January 2024.

- No prior experience or qualification necessary, this role is learn as you go! (First Aid and Child Protection qualifications are included in your Cert III studies!)
