Global Customer Insights & Analytics [Denmark]

Job Description:
Global Customer Insights & Analytics
– Lead strategic business cases based on data-driven insights to strengthen the value of Ferring's pipeline portfolio
Do you want to play an essential role in heightening the overall quality of critical business decisions at Ferring Pharmaceuticals?
In this role, you will work in close partnership with brand leads to develop business cases and insights generation for our future portfolio. Through your work, you will help optimize the value of our assets, and you will be an integral part of enabling decision making in Ferring.
This is a highly cross-functional role, and you will collaborate and engage with stakeholders across the organization as well as externally. You will shift between working on final strategic recommendations and being an ad-hoc subject matter expert, helping us strike the right balance between market needs and our core strengths as a company.
Welcome to Global Customer Insights & Analytics
While this is specialist role and you will drive individual projects, you will join a small dynamic team of senior managers and associate directors who collaborate closely, support each other, and give each other feedback. We are an international team with members from Denmark, Sweden, Greece, and South Korea, and we collaborate with colleagues from all over the world.
With a robust understanding of dynamics influencing asset value, you will contribute to our team’s support of asset development and prioritization across the entire portfolio.
Topline forecasting and business cases
We have divided our responsibilities along Ferring’s therapeutic areas, and you will be responsible for our work in a specific therapy area. You can expect to work on 10-15 projects each year, varying from 4-12-week business development cases to development projects spanning 8-10 years. Consequently, you will experience a great variety in your tasks.
A core aspect of your role will be to collect the necessary data and insights – and to identify gaps – to build the strongest possible business cases. To do so, you will need to also drive market research and competitive intelligence yourself. The goal is for you to continuously build your knowledge and bring expertise into your projects.
Dividing your time mainly between R&D projects and business development (BD) projects, you will:
  • Lead and moderate the business case generation of R&D asset types, varying from early to late-stage development and LCM assessments
  • Lead and moderate the topline sales forecast development for BD opportunities
  • Lead and moderate the business case valuation (eNPV) to inform the annual portfolio prioritization process
  • Ensure all portfolio projects are up to date and validated with the appropriate assumptions
  • Fill identified insight gaps through secondary and primary market research to ensure robust investment assessments
  • Lead competitive intelligence research to support R&D and BD investment assessments as well as provide insights to various stakeholders within the organization
  • Design and implement improved tools and processes aimed at standardizing methodologies within and across therapeutic areas
Ferring + you
At Ferring, people come first. Here, you are not only encouraged to speak your mind. We actually expect you to. That way, our philosophy is lived through every part of our business.
We empower and support each other to achieve excellence together. And we are committed to supporting all employees in their career development.
Your primary work location will be the spectacular and state-of-the-art new domicile Soundport near Copenhagen Airport and you will have the option of working from home up to 2 days a week. Other European locations can also be considered.
You are analytically creative and can navigate ambiguity
You have solid experience from an analytical role in the pharmaceutical industry and know how to tackle and communicate complex issues in a smart way. You bring competencies in forecasting, business case development, secondary data analysis and/or market research and competitive intelligence. You can work both independently and in teams, and you are confident pushing through on your own when called for.
In addition to being analytically creative, you:
  • have a university degree, preferably in business administration, economics, finance, or marketing
  • have 5+ years of experience in sales forecasting, market research, business development, and market analysis at a global or regional level of a pharmaceutical, healthcare, or consultancy. Marketing and/or sales experience a strong plus
  • have experience from the field of microbiome, gastroenterology, uro-oncology or reproductive medicine
  • have a strong drive for personal growth
  • speak and write English fluently
  • have strong analytical and project management skills (e.g. a structured approach to Excel)
  • bring strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
