Job Summary


As a MULTIFONDS Test Lead of User Acceptance Testing team, the person will be responsible for testing Global Fund Services Applications within Client Bank’s portfolio. The Test Lead handles interacting with Global IT, Business and Operations teams to provide a high quality of product to the internal and external clients and meet the agreed and expected service standards. The job role may involve management, coordination or contribution to one, few or all phases of STLC i.e. Test Planning, Design, Execution, Defect Management and Reporting.


The Test Lead will perform testing activities for Global Fund Services applications across different functions of the bank and should be flexible to work in shifts.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Perform functional test analysis, planning, design, execution, and reporting for testing assignments
  • For the specific testing project, support the Project Manager(s) and Test Manager by contributing to the Test Plan(s) for the relevant test phases, the Test Readiness Reviews, test progress reporting, the Test Completion/Summary Reports and Test Defect Reports
  • Prepare where required: Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Scripts, and Test Data for a given testing assignment
  • Work closely with the stakeholders or other groups in preparation and execution of the planned functional testing
  • Play a lead role in the analysis and reporting of test results, working closely with business, technology, and support areas to investigate and interpret test findings
  • Develop and extend collaborative working relationships with technology suppliers and operational support areas in order to understand requirements quickly, resolve problems/issues, suggest solutions, and identify areas for service improvement
  • Participate in peer reviews
  • Track the schedule and testing progress and be accountable for the tasks and releases
  • Manage triage calls with technology & operations
  • Assist in the reception and quality assurance of the business requirements, solution design and business process documents for individual projects
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of the assigned tasks
  • Highlight and track defects and ensure that they are fixed before project implementation
  • Act as a backup of Senior Test Analyst

Essential –


Testing Skills


  • Exposure to structured software development lifecycle methodologies, preferably agile models
  • Ability to transform requirements to Business Scenarios & Requirement Traceability Matrix
  • Ability to prepare Test Cases, Test Scripts, Test Data, Test Coverage analysis for a given testing assignment
  • Expert in Testing Tool - HP Application Lifecycle Management or JIRA
  • Experience in different types of testing like functional, regression, black box testing etc.
  • Ability to manage E2E Testing, Defect Management and Reporting
  • Sound knowledge of Defect Management Process and handling its different phases
  • Knowledge of Agile and Risk based testing


Domain Competencies


  • Extensive knowledge of Investment Banking Business
  • Profound understanding of trade lifecycle and financial Instruments
  • Good knowledge on Middle Office, Performance Reporting, Fund Accounting, Pricing, Transfer Agency, Collateral & Reconciliation functions
  • Capability to support the team of Product Business Analysts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)

Desirable -


  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certifications
  • Experience in application Multifonds is mandatory
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Developer and Macros
  • Experience in automation testing


Qualification & Experience -


  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Commerce
  • 2-5 years of experience in testing lifecycle in Investment Banking domain
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Securities and Fund Services domain
  • FactSet, Statpro systems experience preferred
